In chapter 4 I learned about the explorers. They traveled to the Northwest mostly in search of new land. I learned about Drake, Gray, and many more. Most of them tried to sail through the Northwest passage. It was a long and difficult trip.

In chapter 3 I learned about the Coastal and Plateau Indians. The things that I will remember most is the venn diagram we did in class showing the differences. What I learned is that they each have different traditions.Like the totam poles, potlatches, and canoes.
In chapter 2 the thing I will remember most is the different geographic regions. What I learned is that each geographic region has some of the same trees and plants and then some dont. this is important to our state because it makes washington unique.
In chapter 1 the thing that I will remember the most is the Scablands. What I learned is that it was carved out by a giant flood. The ice age cause a dam blocking the flow at Glacier Lake Missoula. When the dam finally broke it sent the water towards the Scablands and carved it out by erosion. This was an important part of our history because we learned about the ice age and how it effected our state.
All together I think the process went well. I think the part I didn’t like so much was alll the drawing we had to do. Maybe I think that way because I’m not a person who just sits down and starts to draw. I think the part I liked the best was the whole finished project. I think it looks neat and colorful. I think I would like to do a bit of both the projects and the quizzes. It mixes it up from every day quizzes. I learned a lot about Muhammad too. When we started chaper 8 I didn’t really know a lot about Muhammad but as the project went on I understood a lot more. I now understand the struggles Muhammad went through to persure his message. He never really gave up and although it took awhile his message finally did come across to people. Soon, Muhammad had people on his side and were believing in the Muslim faith.
To survive in the Arabian Peninsula you would need these tips. For the desert environment bring lots of water. Desert tempature can reach, easily over 120 degrees and can be very harsh. Without water you would have trouble surviving. Another tip is to have camels. Camels survive well in the desert because they can travel long distances without needing water. Camels also provide many essentials like: food, leather hides, and much more. They can also carry a decent amount of your goods. A few tips for the oases is take advantage of the crops growing there. If you are thinking about being a nomad I would really consider being sedentary and start growing crops to sell. My 4th tip is for the coastal plain: use irrigation systems. Irrigation systems is a way to bring water to dry places without it being very hard to. You can build wells, dams and other things to irrigate the water. my 5th tip is to trade as much as you can. Being on the coastal plain has huge advantages! Many trades from different places come to trade. My 6th tip is for the mountains. I would build a terrace so I could grow my crops on a hillside. My 7th tip is to keep extra rainwater underground just in case! Now for my 8th tip. I personally would want to travel in caravans. Caraans are like a big group traveling together. You never know what you may need out in the desert so it may be smart to travel in caravans. My 9th tip is to wear turbans. Turbans protect your face from the heat and dust. And finally for my 10th tip! My final tip is to light colored and light weighted clothes. With high tempatures the heat will absorb into dark clothes making you hotter so I would wear light colored clothes. Also the light weighted clothes will make it easier to travel. Those are my 10 tips for living in the Arabian Peninsula!!
This first trimester as a seventh grader has gone fairly well. I learned many things like generating yellows, learning about medieval times, about rocks, and more. I feel like I had a relativly good trimester with grades. I think I did well because I wanted to get good grades. Also if I have bad grades my parents rule is that I can’t play basketball and I’m the one to tell the coach. I believe not being able to play basketball was my drive for doing well this trimester. I’m looking foward to next trimester.
This week we did a research project and I learned that sometimes I have to put in something I know to get something I don’t know, when I am searching for websites. About the Wiki: I really like it! I think its fun to organize my own page. And it helps you learn too.
What I think is unfair at SMS is the fact that……Well actually I’m not really positive. Either I just can’t think of anything or I’m pretty much agreed with the rules…But I think its just the fact that I can’t reallly think of anything at the moment.
I think I did the best at the final draft because once I have a good plan I can do a good job
The thing I would change on my poem is the docorations. I would also make it more colorful because it’s a little plain.
The tool that was the most helpful would probably being able to use the textbook and workbook!
I want Mr.T to know… Well Im not sure but I would say I worked really hard and I tried to make it cretive.
